Work was fine, but as time went on the environment became more ghetto. Now this place is just Tukwila 2.0

1 Month Advice
Everything is managed online. Little humanity involved.
If stationary and allowed, order your headphones asap.
The safety shoes must be purchased online for credit. Go to a shoe store and try em on before purchasing.
Take advantage of wellness
Get a big CLEAR water bottle. Everything must be clear, even bags.
Seasonal does not get Healthcare or shift swaps. You do qualify for same day pay @ 50% with a US bank card.
If you're used to showing up late you can maintain up to 30 min/ shift. Any more leaving early or showing up late, ask for An accommodation before you go negative.

Day 1
The speed bumps on the left side parking lot are far less steep than the right side.
The drug test was bizarre.
This is an easier application process than most if you're sick of countless interviews with no communication
The free safety shoes are a nice bonus

DO NOT APPLY FOR THE SEASONAL POSITION... they just use your labor for the extra haul around the holidays and instead of immediately converting you to full time I have never been disappointed before by this company but they don't even keep their work area clean if this building were to be caught on fire it would be by the amount of dust and sticker debris all over the building and loose wires everywhere on the south side flickering light and especially the new cracks in the concrete not even to mention that they use people to load the pods into the building called them pod transfers who literally had to pull the same weight as a car to load each of the 5 floors

They can get a package to you in a day, but getting a payroll error fixed takes 3 weeks or more. Amazon loves to talk how amazing they are, but they only care about their marketing image, they would rather have a broken inefficient HR system than care for their employees.

Stop rushing your delivery drivers they're disrespectful because you abuse them to go faster, almost had a delivery car hit an elderly woman. STOP abusing your drivers with strict deadlines so they will drive safer

I've worked at many Amazon facilities. This one is a great building to work for, though some of the tasks can be boring. When you have a busy mind that is. My main complaint about this building is the terrible choice for speed bumps they use in their parking lot. Could've gone with smoother wider ones but they chose small and high ones that damage the cars.

Their delivery driver delivered my package to the wrong address halfway under a roof with no gutters, during a rainstorm. By the time I got it the box was soaked and sitting in a mud puddle. I grabbed the vox and it ripped open and I had to grab the pieces in the puddle, soaking my new work boots.

I had just witnessed an Amazon driver in his vest driving erratically and passing 4 cars in a 35mph zone almost hitting a dozen kids playing here in Arlington off of Arlington heights road! I followed trying to get him to pull over but he took off onto highway 530 and forced a couple cars off the road. Fire home or....
