Moving day was scheduled to be the most stressful day of my year. The tight schedule called for completing the move out by 2:00PM, the buyer's final walkthrough at 4:00PM, and closing the next morning at 11:00AM.

We had a moving team from Elite Movers (a local Tallahassee company with great reviews) scheduled to begin at 8:00AM. Shortly after 8:30AM the day of the move, the team from Elite Movers notified me that they would not work in the rain. You can read my full, honest review of that experience elsewhere.

With a local company leaving me stranded, I spent nearly 3 hours making calls attempting to find a company with availability for a same day move out for two moving trucks worth of items. I cannot express to you how lucky I was to find Michael Haimowitz and the team at Browning Moving & Storage.

On the first call with Mike, he said 'start blowing me up with pictures. Send me everything'. He treated the situation with unbelievable urgency and pulled his team together for an emergency response. Following the initial phone call, I had a quote in my inbox within minutes. And less than 3 hours later, his team was on location loading boxes.

I learned more about the horrors of just how bad a competing moving company would be all in 45 short minutes. The fallout could have been catastrophic. It could have delayed closing. It could have resulted in a lawsuit. There's really no limit to the impact that hiring the wrong moving company can have on your life when you are contractually obligated to move.

My recommendation to any family, real estate agent assisting a buyer or seller, and especially a homeowner under contract to sell a house - do not book with anyone else. Don't save money shopping around. Don't be swayed because a company is local or whatever the marketing pitch might be. Book with Browning.

Professional moving companies do work in the rain. They have backup people and equipment. They are prepared to respond to anything. They have a large network of support.

Words cannot express how grateful and overwhelmed I am by the incredible work that your team did for us last week. It is the understatement of the year to say that you saved the day. In the absolute worst moment of the entire moving experience, your team stepped in and cleaned up another company's mess. I count you all as friends for life. Michael Haimowitz, their relocation consultant, was extremely professional. He thoroughly explained the moving process, was attentive and answered all my questions and concerns. It had been decades since our last move and that was a self move across town. We were a bit stressed about moving three decades of accumulated possessions. Never fear, Browning was there. Our relocation consultant, Michael Haimowitz, was great. He had all the answers before we even asked the questions. He was patient as we added or removed items from the list of things we were moving multiple times.

Our move coordinator, Kaitlyn Desmond, was also a gem. She was always available and checked in with us during and after the move to make sure everything was going smoothly.

Our moving crew, Angelo, Christopher, Darryl, and Jordan, worked tirelessly to get our possessions on the trucks. Everything was handled with care and all the furniture was wrapped in moving blankets before it left the house.

I just had the best moving experience ever with Browning Moving & Storage. Our sales and quote were handled by Michael Haimowitz, who was fantastic and never seemed to mind my hundreds of questions. I knew that I was in good hands with Michael. He arranged for storage for our belongings for an extended period at a reduced rate. Then we got him to help with packing of dinnerware and other delicate items. Then Stephanie was my move coordinator, and she was fantastic, too. Stephanie communicated with me through every step of the move. The move was orchestrated by Angelo and Christopher. Both of them were better than any of the movers we've had, and we move every year, sometimes more. Angelo was so knowledgeable. I will ask for them again the next time we move, and they will probably be there, because they are committed to their profession, and have worked for Browning for some time. Every time I tried to give directions about what to be careful with, Angelo had already seen the issue and was on top of it. He didn't need to give Chris any instructions because Chris knew what he was doing, too. He's obviously had many years of experience with professional movers. Both of them took fantastic care of some delicate furniture and lots of paintings. I really couldn't be happier. And for Angelo, Browning is a family business. He father has worked for Browning for many years. I can see that Angelo takes pride in his work, something I'm sure that he learned from his father. Most of my other moves were done by temps with absolutely no experience or motivation. Other companies might have decent salespeople to take your call, but the movers are the ones that do the job, and you need professionals. That's what we got from Browning.
