Sent me home from orientation. Had to pay for my own way home. Bus or a flight wasn’t an option as I had a ton of bags and stuff to carry because I went straight from the last company I was with and basically everything I had in my old truck. Had to rent an SUV, which I had to pay for, and I couldn’t get a ride to the rental car place. Had to Uber there and then go back to the hotel to pack up. Oh and I had to pay for an additional 3 nights at the hotel as Enterprise had no rentals available until after the weekend. They also blocked my phone number because evidently I ask too many questions. Not getting on with them may be a good thing because going from .62cpm to .48cpm wasn’t feasible. Must be the lowest paying carrier out there. I haven’t been paid less than .55cpm in over 15 years. Started with a new small carrier now making .66cpm with stop pay and automatic detention without requesting it. I even get to have a major input on my pick up and delivery times. Don’t even have to hassle with brokers. Keep a steady lane with lots of freight and I can get home basically anytime I want. Doesn’t matter if want to stay out just a week or if I want to stay out three months. I think they elected to not hire me because I was too knowledgeable and pointed out some mistakes and I updated them on the current FMCSA regulations that they were out of date on(I was about to get my truck assignment when they said that they didn’t want to proceed in hiring me and said they didn’t have any reason why weren’t going to hire me!). Not a place to go if you are very experienced and you speak your mind and can correct information they tell you that is false.

Terrible company, pay sucks, miles suck, communication lacking. Not enough freight to keep up with all the drivers they keep hiring. Pre planers are uneducated,Customer service lacking all the way around. Best thing from the whole job was a cup they gave😂 save your self some time and find another company

Hands down the most predatory company in trucking!! Obviously you are desperate to get out of whatever situation.(taken time off)you are in because you are considering .49 come but trust me there's more options consistently had me doing runs across Tennessee from one of there terminals to another, basically doing what there local drivers should be doing. If you ask for your detention pay they will make up rule violations to charge that money back to you, Such as saying you fueled at the incorrect fuel stop when the pumps at said pilot are down.

This company screams predatory trucking. GO ELSEWHERE...there's a reason they don't mention anything about pay on their website. Don't be dumb. Get better.

My dispatcher Kyle was awesome did what he could. I wast getting 2500 miles like they said. I had a family emergency and had to go to Florida last minute. They withheld my paycheck that week and refused to give it to me unless I was physically in the truck rolling at which point I refused because I had already worked and not gotten paid which is no where in the handbook. The only time the handbook says they withhold anything is when your terminated or quit (page 20) which I never did. So I had to go without food and everything for over a week because I spent savings (wanst much) on booking a last minute flight all while dealing with family in the hospital. Tommy just kept saying it was policy but refused to go into the handbook and tell me where it stated that. Actually said he hadn’t seen it since it was last updated. So I lost out on over 450 bucks because they don’t care about drivers dealing with a sick member of their family. Only made 52cpm even with 8 years experience all verified. They pay you trash and you I mainly had loads less then 400 miles and once delivered sat all day 90% of time until the next day.

Just completed my first month at Big G and I’m loving it. I haven’t had a single bad experience. The equipment is top notch, the dispatch treats you with respect and with professionalism. I dealt with the shop in mt. Juliet tonight and they were great. Everything I wrote down on the maintenance slip was fixed. They even went above and beyond and fixed issues with the truck that I didn’t even know needed fixed. If you want your respect, dignity, miles, and good home time. This is the place to be.
