For a small town bowling alley this place is pretty nice! I took my sons here to bowl with some friends. The staff were all very nice and helpful. We got there right as it opened so there were only three lanes being used. The lanes worked fine. We got drinks but no food at the snack area. Fountain drinks were $2 each. Rates were $2 for shoe rental and $3 per person per game. They have a juke box and small arcade area with pool tables as well. My only complaint would be that I wish they offered an option to rent a lane by the hour rather than per person per game. However, I would definitely recommend for bowling in Shelbyville.

Came here a week in advance to reserve two lanes for my little brothers birthday. Went there the morning of the party to pay. When we got there to start decorating and getting everything set up; we were told that they had double booked us with a church event who had taken all 20 lanes. My mom had to ask the manager to ask the church to spare one or two lanes for our party. The church (Tyler Bowman of shelbyville mills baptist church) loudly and rudely said “WE CANNOT SPARE ANY OF OUR LANES!” To which my little brother immediately started to cry. We took our refund and left devastated. We had no where to host his party. The party was supposed to be 6-8 and we got there at 5:35-5:40ish. They had our phone number and had plenty of time to tell us this information but we never received any calls about this problem.

The kid at the register taking the money for the lanes is really rude and just coming in late (50 minutes before closing time) seemed to be really bothered that my gf & I were even wanting to bowl. There is also always something wrong with the lanes here too.

This bowling alley is going down hill fast. Needs major improvements. The ceiling tiles are falling down, the jukebox isn't even hooked up to the speakers. The food is not that appetizing.

My family and I went last minute on a whim for cosmic bowling. I was a little nervous at first in general as my youngest is three and I did not know how it would work out. We all had a blast, we did not have food as we went once the kitchen was closed but the staff was amazing and patient as we had to try different size shoes. The kids had a blast and so did us parents!! We were too busy bowling to make it to the arcade. We will for sure be going there again!!

Very good, I took my kids and one of their friends. We had a blast, great service. The arcade machines were there. The food was great especially their pizza and chicken. If you wanna have a fun day I recommend this place!

We visited Lighting Lanes for the 1st time last night and had an absolute blast! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. I have 3 teens and they had a great time as well as the adults. If you're looking for a family fun night or day, this is the spot to go. Thank you for a great experience!
