We were camping at Hesters Bottoms Family Campground from out of state and desperately needed a few items. We found Thompson Hardware in McCormick, and were thrilled they had what we needed and they were extremely happy and helpful. This store is a gem, unlike the big box stores.

What an awesome hardware store. The women working there knew EXACTLY where everything was. We were surprised at how much they carried being a small town store. Even more of a surprise is the prices weren't inflated because of convenience.

Ms. Kim actually came to us asking if she could help. She was putting things away in plumbing and a little out of her comfort zone but still jumped right on in! We knew what we wanted, she knew where it was and it was a great first impression!

This place has everything! I was glad to see several women working. This makes the hardware, lawn and garden store experience less intimidating. There was a steady flow of customers for a Saturday and some of the best customer service I've experienced. Definitely worth going a little out of your way to avoid the "big box" experience. Great local business. Looking forward to my next visit.

I absolutely love what the new owners have done to this place! Staff is exceptionally friendly and very helpful. And they have a lot more stuff in there than you would think a small town local hardware store would have.

The selection of merchandise here is immense! The employees here are so nice and helpful. They didn't have a specialized tool I was looking for, but was going to order one to have for their already impressive stock of supplies. A delightful place to shop.
