I’ve lived here since my freshman year and despite its ups and downs I still love living here. Since I’ve been here we’ve had 3 maintenance men and some have definitely been better, like Lorenzo. I’ve never seen him without a smile or not working hard. Since he started working here I think the building as a whole has gotten significantly cleaner and it’s a consistent cleanliness. You can tell he works hard and genuinely cares for the building. A big thing he just did was a deep clean of the staircase, which on the surface doesn’t seem like much but when you understand the amount of drinks spilled, food dropped, alcohol thrown, or even dogs pee over the course of months to years it builds up, but Lorenzo somehow someway has gotten it as clean as I’ve seen it since I moved in. The only thing better than his cleaning is his attitude, when I leave to work in the morning I always see him arriving and we we also say goodmorning and he’s got a huge smile on his face. Overall just wanted to thank Lorenzo and say he’s doing an amazing job here.

I have been meaning to write a review for awhile!

I want to acknowledge how kind and helpful Lorenzo is. He works at a couple of the Statehouse locations. Since the first time I met him, he has always had a big welcoming smile on his face and is constantly working hard to maintain the property.

As I was packing my car up for winter break, Lorenzo and Dunn (I believe that is his name) came outside and offered to help load my extremely heavy bicycle on the back of my car. They took their time to carefully load the bike, getting dirty from bike's dust.

It is such a joy to run into Lorenzo and it makes my time living here so much more enjoyable! Thank you for your hard work and dedication to keeping our building clean and your positive energy. You are the best! šŸ™‚

If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT live here, you will regret it!!! Worst non-responsive management on the planet and they will RIP YOU OFF!! Just kiss your deposit goodbye as they will come up with some BS reason / charges not to return it so you’ll have to take them to court. They make up their own bill for electric and charge whatever they want without you being able verify. All they care about is your money. There are so many better options. Read the other reviews you’ll see how everyone gets ripped off and victimized by this ridiculous management scam. If anyone is interested in filing a class action lawsuit against this horrible company let me know.

After living here for 3 years, I can’t say enough bad. Don’t live here. I lived in 2 different units and when I moved out of my first one, it was spotless. I was then charged $250 for paint discoloration? I live here for a total of 9 months so I’m not sure how they think the paint was discolored. Especially when I do not smoke or even use candles in my room because they give me headaches AND it was a new build.

There are constantly roaches in the building, the elevator doesn’t work, and the management treats the students with nothing but disrespect. Liz specifically told my roommates things that needed to be done for move out (they are not listed in the lease) and then when we asked her where and how to do these things, she responded with ā€œI’m not here to teach you a lesson.ā€ She has a terrible attitude and is overall rude. The worse leasing manager that we have had at this property by far. Our dishwasher has not worked for 3 months. We have put in countless maintenance requests and STILL have not gotten it fixed. 2/4 of my roommates have mold growing on the window due to it leaking during rain. Every time we asked for it to be fixed they said ā€œsomeone is coming.ā€ I had a friend who got maintenance done in her room and there was dirt and dust left ALL OVER HER BED. My bathtub leaks. The girl before me left multiple issues in the room which leads me to believe they do not clean or care what student are moving into.

You would think living here for 3 years would gain your respect considering they can’t keep the same person in the office for more than a year.

I didn’t want to move out because I am in the Marching Chiefs and do not have to move my car on game day which is why I kept resigning. Now I am in the process of moving out yet again and know that I will be charged for normal wear and tear. It doesn’t matter if you think it’s in the lease or not, Statehouse is going to charge you. Don’t waste the time or money living here. I have friends that live at the nine and do not have any of these problems!!! Please do your research and don’t get trapped like I did.

Yet again, the elevator is broken which is not staffed with employees for a 3 day weekend. Leaving us residences to take the staircase that is filled with trash and dog urine! This must be resolved as some residences are injured and need elevator access. This building is not worth the price as the amenities are often broken.

I also pay $100 a month for a reserved spot that is constantly being taken. When the issue is reported to management, I’m told to take someone else’s spot. This does not solve the issue, it just creates a bigger one.

I can't believe in 2024 we are still treating POCs poorly. An apology need to made those affected. If you're person who believes in basic human decency look into other companies who respect everyone. I personally live in the Nine and love the management there and my apartment

I don’t even know where to start because when I first moved into this place I thought it was too good to be true and I can tell you that it wasn't. I lived on the 5th floor and the elevator didn’t work half the time. Nothing is more frustrating than having to bring up groceries so many stairs because the elevator doesn’t work. There are roaches all over the building and if you are a student that needs a solid network connection, please do not live here. LISTEN TO ME and please take your 1k a month somewhere else with better amenities, better management, and a working elevator. I lived here for 2 years and the place may look nice from the outside and when you move in, but it’s not going to stay that way. You really can’t beat the location, that’s the only weight this place holds.

I am very disappointed in the management of this apartment. My daughter has had packages left outside and was stolen. The best management can say is that they are closed and have repeatedly told the delivery people that they are not to leave anything outside.

This is extremely concerning as we have medical equipment and other things sent to my daughter specifically because we were sold on the concept that she would have access to deliveries. Never did they disclose the ongoing issues that they have.

I am sorry but we pay too much for this kind of response and lack of concern.
