I sent a package through them to Ibadan from their office in Houston, TX. They divided my package into two, separating the electronics from the other items. They claimed that both boxes could share the same tracking number, which I found ridiculous and shady. I asked them, “What if something goes wrong? How can two separate boxes have the same tracking number?” They assured me that nothing would go wrong.

When the tracking showed the package had arrived in Ibadan, the receiver only got one box — not the one with the electronics, just as I had feared. We complained, sent emails, and spoke on the phone back and forth with their agents.

On the first call, the agent claimed he could see in their system that there were two boxes and said the one with the electronics would arrive in Ibadan the next day.

Fast forward to today — five days later — after going back and forth with them, they still can't give a definite answer about what happened. There’s a complete disconnect between their offices in Houston, Lagos, and Ibadan. They keep telling us to send emails to their claims department, which never replies. The Ibadan office tells us to complain to Houston, Houston tells us to complain to Lagos, and no one seems to know what they’re doing. It's ridiculous and frustrating.

To this day, there's still no resolution — just excuses from every office.

I'm giving you 2 stars for the bad customer service I experienced using your International Logistics Service.

I sent a WhatsApp message about price discrepancy, but my message was not attended to.

When I called, I stated to the representative (who happens to be the Assistant Manager) that I needed clarification on the aforementioned discrepancy. He said I should provide the waybill number. I went to the app to fetch it and was about to call it out to him, but he said I should send it on WhatsApp.

I mentioned that they've not been responding to me on that particular request on WhatsApp that's why I called and he replied "Do you expect me to be attending to you on this call while others are waiting in line?" I was taken aback. I said Isn't that what customer care line is for? Since I wasn't getting responses on WhatsApp.

Immediately on that call, I got a reply on WhatsApp to provide my waybill number.
Bear in mind I sent a message almost 3 hours prior. And before that message, I had called earlier, and the lady who I even talked with was sounding listless.
That's to say they could have responded earlier but waited till I called.

I now mentioned that I have another request. As I was trying to talk, he ended the call on me.

That's very rude, insolent, and shows a lack of manners.

I understand there are many other customers you're attending to, and there's a timezone difference, but his response shows there's little to no regard for people.

I called back to give him a piece of my mind sha. Cause I let him know if him as the Assistant Manager acted like that, what does he expect from his subordinates?
You don't treat people that way.

In all of this, I got no apology whatsoever.

My other request was that why can't I get pictures of what I bought?
I requested pictures, and you said you don't offer such service.

Just pictures?! Every other logistic company provides this, and it even puts the customer's mind at ease

Your customer service really has to be better, and there should be more enthusiasm and urgency in attending to customers.

My package it yet to arrive.

GIGL has been terrific with on time delivery. No complaints whatsoever. I have enjoyed prompt service and the best customer service. Tobi has been instrumental in making sure that my shipment is always processed and goes above and beyond to make sure I am notified if there are any issues. All the staff I have interacted with have been very courteous and professional. No hesitation in giving a five star review here.

Excellent service here. I am a repeat customer and it’s always been an excellent service. The charge is so reasonable compared to most others and they are always on time, not a day beyond their ETA. I have used GIG more than 10x in the last 3 years and I have never been disappointed or dissatisfied. Mr Opus and Ms Ruth sure know their onions. Thank you and keep up the excellent work

I was at GIG Houston by Westheimer to send a package for the first time and the customer service from the very dark guy was nothing to write home about. He was very rude and we exchanged some words. He almost beat me up! He went crazy and was yelling and screaming all manner of insults at me. It was only the fair lady that works there that was pleading with me.
This guy at the Westheimer office is sure going to put GIG logistics out of business soon.!! I will never patronize them again!
