They scare you into selling to them! I was talking to another customer while waiting, about some games they were thinking of trading in, I asked to look at them and said if they didn’t get a reasonable offer for them I might be interested in purchasing them. The manager heard this and came out and said that was ā€œagainst the lawā€ and that talking about that while in the store was ā€œillegalā€ and that he could call the cops on us!

I can understand a policy, and that it might not be a great place to ask, but it’s far from ā€œillegalā€. The manager said this specifically to scare the other individual to ensure they sold it to the store and no one else. I apologized to the other customer and left without another word.

This location also sells ā€œreproductionā€ games that are not licensed and are without a doubt illegal. Go to GameStop before going to Game Exchange….. and that’s saying a lot.

Store was ok I generally shop at nights after my job,Seems like I only see one man at the front when I go in he is a short guy with glasses.Sometimes there would be a long haired guy but he would disappear into the back when people walk in. I have seen it get crowded and the guy in glasses would have to tell people to bear with him. It breaks my heart to see only one person actively working.

Scammers. First off they sell counterfeit games marked as ā€œreproductionsā€, reproductions are legally licensed to be sold, PokĆ©mon did NOT reproduce any of their games or give permission to have games reproduced. This should be illegal if it’s not already.

I purchased a special edition system for market value only to get home and upon closer inspection it was a fake, I took it back, told them it was fake, the next day it was back in the cabinet for sale for full price with no mention of being fake, again should be illegal if not already.

Trade in prices are not even a fraction of what they are worth, I would understand 60%-70% but some things your lucky to get 20% if anything. I understand you have the right to not trade in but A LOT of people have no idea what their things are worth and get taken advantage of.

Lastly is the attitude, they treat you like an inconvenience and that you’re not worth their time, especially the manager. If you ask about a product they will tell you anything to buy it, and if you say that they are wrong… you might as well just leave before the temper tantrum starts. It’s a shame this is one of the few remaining game stores, every one I have been to has been the same.

Purchased collectors addition of Superman that was to come with bonus disc. They could find Doom Doomsday but then would not discount the price due to no disc. They also game us wrong season of an anime set now have to go back to get corrected. Some are nice some are not yet feels like they take advantage of folks.

worker at the front desk was not helpful AT ALL. Me and my girlfriend came in looking for a tv for our living room and lady at the front desk wouldn’t help us look at one we had chose in the store and proceeded to ask us what tv and when we told her it was one of the Samsungs she looked at us like we were actually dumb and didn’t know what was going on. We even asked if the tv worked just to be sure before we bought it and she made it seem like we were dumb for even asking. She then proceeded to not help us at all and check other people out and wouldn’t communicate with us again. We gave up and didn’t get the tv we wanted for our living room. If your job is so miserable maybe go find something else that will actually satisfy you instead of blaming customers for your miserably terrible life. ā¤ļø
