Really like the large selection of all outdoor and sports equipment. They protein powder to sunglasses. Restrooms available and handicap parking. Good selection of camping equipment and grilling section. I found the disc golf items I was needing for good price.

Its my first time coming to Alabama and my experience was horrible, I came to get fishing licenses for my family and it took Mrs.Dorthy a whole hour to give us two fishing licenses as she kept leaving us without communication and having side conversations with other workers, I’ve bought multiple fishing licenses before and never had an experience like this, I understand you have to work but she wasn’t letting us know she was leaving or told us sorry about leaving us hanging, that it made me not want to buy the rest from there. I am upset by my experience at academy if I could give this place one star I would. Academy should hold their managers at higher standards.

Great visit. Went to see about some shoes. The lady in shoes showed excellent customer service. Another lady in the bike area was very helpful. Will definitely go back when I need to. Really appreciated the great customer service. Couldn't ask for better.

Great place to shop! Well stocked on pretty much everything (except ammo, but who has that!), shelves are well organized, associates are friendly and helpful, and it's very clean. If you get the app and make an account, they also have great deals on stuff, if your willing to wait till they go on sale! Fairly good variety of ammo, lots of firearms in stock (from shotguns, to rifles, and pistols), sports stuff, outdoors stuff (tents, sleeping bags, and any camping stuff you could want!), footwear of all kinds (including cowboy boots ?! ), exercise equipment, bicycles, and tons more! Probably my new favorite all-around outdoors store!

Bald man over by the guns is very rude. Not nice whatsoever. always gives you a smart look and always looks at the guns afterwards as if you were trying to steal excuse me just cause I’m black no, rude and not professional this Academy needs to get it together It looks like they do not own a freaking janitor

Really enjoy going to Lowe's great associates to help you out. I used the self checkout very easy and fast. Lots of parking, very clean inside and out. I look forward to my next visit.

Went in to buy some womens work boots which are very hard to find in my size but they had a decent selection and found a pair I liked at a great price. I also found a pair of Nike air max for $35 which is unheard of.
