Hermes International has gained a life-time customer for sure! Their customer service was top notch, not only did they make sure we understood every part of the process, making sure we were receptive of what was happening throughout all steps, but thoroughly communicating with us! I’ve had many experiences where I’ve dealt with shipping companies that just basically took my money and offered no real consultation. With Hermes International it was different, it felt like to them it wasn’t just business, but fulfilling a promise with a customer while going out of their way to show they care even if it wasn’t their problem to deal with. Costumer service is always phenomenal, I was greeted kind and friendly every single time by multiple members of their staff, their warhouse manger is charm , my needs where met timingly and accordingly, I would definitely recommend their services if you require trust in your items being handled with care

Like other reviews I have seen here I had a similar experience. I contracted with Hermes to ship 34 liters of extra virgin olive oil. I received a message that the package was damaged. I asked for picture proof of this and never got it. My 80 pounds of olive oil just disappeared. They put in a refund request through UPS and even though UPS sent Hermes a small refund TWO months ago I still have not received it. I am going to contact the attorney general office because this can't be right and I see other people have had similar experiences with Hermes.

A few months ago I called and spoke to a nice lady about shipping back home to Nafpaktos, she told me to bring my cargo in at any time. Got there, got recommended a crating service, and I received everything I shipped in good condition due to the crate. No complaints, a good business to deal with and the people there know their stuff.

READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE USING HERMES FOR SHIPPING SERVICES. WE CONTRACTED HERMES TO SHIP THREE PACKAGES EACH CONTAINING TEN GALLONS OF EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL ON AUGUST 2.2023. Total for the shipping of the three packages was $585 . On Aug 8 received an email saying one of the packages was " damaged" however they didn't provide any information on where or how or even pictures of proof , just that package was gone. That is 80 pounds of EEVOO and due to weather conditions in Europe that year olive oil has skyrocketed three times its previous value so this package was worth close to $1,000. Hermes claimed that they would put in a insurance claim for this in August 12. We waited and waited and waited 5 months later on January 16th we contacted ups and found out that they had issued a refund check to HERMES for $172 . It is now February 20th it has been 5 weeks since this check has been collected by HERMES shipping and we have still not been reimbursed. If you read through other reviews other people have also had issues of their packages and olive oil being lost in shipping and not being reimbursed. Does this sound like a coincidence to you?

Three times I've asked to have olive oil sent from Greece to our home in Atlanta. The first time the package was damaged bc it came through UPS despite the fact that I told them that they should use a pallet as it's a delicate item. Low and behold the oil spilling everywhere the first order. Now onto the second order. I insisted to put it on a pallet... they refused to do so again as they said "it will be ok." For goodness sake, it's my product not yours, don't tell me how I want it delivered bc I have some common sense. I let it go and of course it was damaged again. Now for the third and final straw, they charged me $200 plus to send it and not only did they not listen to me to put it on a pallet to protect the package after my history, but the package never arrived as it was apparently too damaged. But here's the comedy of it all, not only did I lose my product, they aren't reimbursing me for them not doing their job correct! I never got my package or my money in return for it all. Do me a favor, if you need something delivered, instead of going to them, fly to NYC, package your item yourself, ship it out the way that it should, and fly back home, you'll save yourself some money.

When we built the box we were told to include a pallet so that a fork lift could get underneath and pick it up. We did that. We were quoted in the 700’s. Upon arrival in Astoria, we were told that the pallet would have to build up because it was not enough for a fork lift to carry. We were perplexed, but had driven all that way, and didn't have much of a choice. Based on that story we were actually charged In the $900’s.
When the crate arrived in Greece, we were VERY upset when we saw that there was ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGE to the pallet and that we had been charged extra for no reason. We tried several times to call from Greece but kept getting the runaround and were told that we would be called back, but we never were! I emailed them (with photos as evidence) to ask for a refund and have been ignored. NOT ETHICAL. Forget the fact that we were told that the delivery to our door would be free, even after having asked multiple times to be sure, but we had to pay for delivery of 50 euros in Greece. I am telling ALL my friends and family NOT to use them. If we get our refund, I might reconsider, but until then, 2 thumbs down.
